Our first Riverdale blanket was sewn together last week, ready to be gifted. We were very lucky to have Jess from Peggy Purl come and visit Pounamu Atawhai and show us the blanket and tell us all about the organisation.
We had another 70 squares to donate, knitted by a nana from school, Maryann and Mrs Kenyon.
Every blanket is made up of 35 squares and they take 4-5 hours to sew together. What a job! We are very pleased to be part of this great cause.
Riverdale School students are involved in a number of events in their local community. Take a look at some of the things they are currently involved in.
