Chiswick Park

It was with heavy hearts that we said farewell to our friends at Chiswick park today.  We'll miss our visits down to the rest home.
We had a wonderful afternoon playing Scrabble and watching the cricket followed by a yummy afternoon tea of squiggles, chocolate fish and raro.

Jumping Jellybeans

Today was our final session of Jumping Jellybeans at the Awapuni Library.
Keira and Matilda read the book "Me, Moo and Roar" and then the children helped the toddlers make a cow or lion mask to take home.

The children were very sad to have to say goodbye to Leah and the children they had worked with over the term.  Leah was kind enough to present all the children with a certificate and drink bottle to say thank you from the Palmerston North City Library.

Art Expo

Wow!  Last night Riverdale School proudly showed what wonderful artists we have in our midst.  Your children out did themselves with the creative pieces that they have completed over the last few weeks.

If you didn't manage to make it take a look at some of the work that was on display.

Thank you to our wonderful school community for making this night such a success.

Kind Heart Care Packs

Korbin and Sean put together 27 care packets for Kind Hearts today.

These boys spend a lot of time sorting out the items that are donated and making sure each pack has exactly what it needs.

Today's packs had shampoo, conditioner and a soap or body wash.  We also had a number of combs and nail care products to go in today's items.

A big thank you to the Warren whanau for their large donation of items this week.

Grandparent Morning Tea

We had over approximately 180 grandparents join us for morning tea today.  What a way to fill the school up.  It was wonderful for our children to be able to show them around the school.  We had a lot of very excited children.
Some grandparents even traveled from Taranaki and Masterton to be with us.
